Every story starts with a character. But it’s only when that character’s ambition is defined clearly that the story takes shape. When we define something our customer wants, they start paying attention. Start by identifying who your character is.
Who does your customer want to become as it relates to your brand? (Or, how does your customer want to be perceived by others as it relates to your brand?)
What does your customer want as it relates to your brand? (List things potential customers might want from your brand.)
A story really gets interesting when a conflict is defined. You must talk about your customers’ problems over and over. Is there a root cause of your customers' problems? Can you personify this root cause as a villain? What is the villain in your customer's story?
